5-Days Circuit Marrakech to M'hamid-erg chgaga

Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Skoura – Boumalne Dades
Depart from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at 7:30 /8:00 AM, heading towards the
High Atlas Mountains where agriculture and livestock define the Berber
lifestyle. Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as Africa’s Hollywood, famous for its
lunar landscapes that attract major film producers. Enjoy a lunch break before
visiting the Taourirte Kasbah in the heart of the old town. In the afternoon,
continue to the Skoura palm grove, a vast oasis explored via scenic tracks to
discover the Pacha’s residence, AMRIDIL, a 17th-century architectural marvel.
Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse in Boumalne Dades.

Day 2: Dades– Zagora – M’hamid
Breakfast on the terrace, followed by a morning briefing. Drive to Zagora and
visit the Draa Valley, the largest palm oasis in Morocco. Enjoy the stunning
scenery during your journey through the valley.
Stop for lunch in Zagora, then continue to M’hamid via local villages. Visit
new attractions in the area such as the traditional village of Tamgroute, where
you can discover local pottery and handicrafts.
Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse in M’hamid.

Day 3:M’hamid – Erg Chegaga

Adventure day traveling on the Paris-Dakar tracks between stony plateaus
(“Reg”) and sand dunes (“Erg”) to reach the vast Moroccan desert, Erg Chegaga,
where dunes exceed 200 meters in height. Enjoy a picnic at the Sacred Oasis, an
essential stop for ancient caravans.
Arrive at the camp and be welcomed with Saharan tea. Optionally, take a camel
ride or walk to appreciate the magnificent view of the sea of sand. The sunset
is a magical experience on the dune ridges. Dinner and overnight in nomadic
tents (with separate toilets and showers).

Day 4: Erg Chegaga
Spend the day exploring Erg Chegaga and its magnificent dunes. Engage in
activities such as camel trekking or desert hiking to fully experience the
tranquility and grandeur of the Sahara.
Dinner and overnight in nomadic tents.

Day 5: Erg Chegaga – Marrakech
After breakfast, depart from Erg Chegaga and head back to Marrakech. Travel
through Foum Zguid and enjoy the scenic desert landscapes. Arrive in Marrakech
in the afternoon or evening. Transfer to your hotel/Riad for your stay or
onward journey.
